About the Film

Zuhal, a successful lawyer living in a central neighborhood of İstanbul, begins to hear the sound of a cat meowing in her apartment. Embarking on a desperate quest around her building to find the source of the sound that keeps her awake at night, Zuhal knocks on the doors of her neighbors with whom she had no prior contact. Getting more absurd with time, the search for the elusive cat will be the beginning of a new awakening for Zuhal, who seeks her own truth.

A striking black comedy about a modern city dweller, Zuhal made its premiere at the Talinn Black Nights Film Festival, and won the Seyfi Teoman Best Debut Film Prize at the 2022 İstanbul Film Festival.
