Born in 1992, Burcu Uğuz studied French-English Translation and Interpretation at Bilkent University. Her writing on art, literature and cinema was published in various magazines and newspapers. She translated books and edited Turkish poetry books, and completed her first short film Portrait of a Family in 2020. Uğuz wrote, produced and edited the feature film Dialogue, directed by Ali Tansu Turhan, in 2021.
