Born in 1980, Ceylan Özgün Özçelik graduated from the Marmara University Faculty of Law. In 2002, she started working at Best Medya. She worked as a television producer and presenter and film critic for fourteen years. She wrote and directed short films of various genres, from musicals to thrillers. Özçelik’s debut feature film Inflame premiered at the Panorama Special selection of the 2017 Berlin Film Festival. Her short and feature films were screened at more than 100 international festivals, including SXSW, RIDM, São Paulo, Dokufest, London, Ann Arbor and Sitges. With her new project Witch Trilogy 18+, she was selected for the artist in residency program of the Berlin Medienboard and the San Francisco SFFILM program.
