Born in Bozüyük, Bilecik in 1983, Dilek Külekçi graduated from the Anadolu University Faculty of Communication Sciences Department of Cinema and Television in 2004. The same year, she relocated to İstanbul and started working as an assistant director for television series, and has since been working in various roles for feature films, television series and documentaries. In 2018, she wrote the script for a docudrama on the life of Prof. Fuat Sezgin. She wrote and directed her first short film Paranoya! 2021, and continues to work on television and film projects.
