Born in 1978 in İstanbul, Elif Refiğ completed her master’s degree at Columbia University and won various awards at international festival with her short films. Her debut feature film Ships was distributed by the independent distribution company Indiepix in the United States. Having taught film production and screenwriting in New York, Berlin and İstanbul, Refiğ currently works as a part-time lecturer at the Koç University Department of Media and Visual Arts, producing content for digital platforms and working on her next feature film.
