Merve Bozcu graduated from the İstanbul Technical University Faculty of Naval Architecture, and completed her master’s degree in cinema at Kadir Has University. She trained in documentary photography at Galata Fotoğrafhanesi. In 2017, she directed the feature documentary Onun Filmi on the experiences of women directors from Turkey in film sets. In 2021, she directed her first short fiction film Plastic Dream. Bozcu continues to work as a writer and director.
