Born in 1986 in the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Milica Tomovic graduated from the Academy Of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade in 2011 with the omnibus film October, which she made together with her classmates, and which was screened at various international film festivals. In 2016, her short film Transition had its international premiere at the Pardi di domani section of the Locarno Film Festival, followed immediately by a premiere in the Short Cuts programme at Toronto, and won several awards. She directed five episodes of Morning Changes Everything, a successful Serbian television series, in 2018.
